• Udhayanam Project Supported By TERUMO PENPOL:Udhayanam a novel initiative that caters into dump site clearance and beautification of those spaces was inaugurated on June 10th by Minister of Co-operation, Tourism and Devaswom Sr. Kadakampally Surendran in the presence of Dr. K Vasuki, District Collector. The project is run by Change can change climate change abbreviated as c power 5 along with pelican foundation. The initiative “Udhayanam” is totally funded by Terumo Penpol. The minister kicked off the volunteering activity by planting a tree on the Jawahar Nagar Kowdiar stretch. Through this project the team aims at clearing thirty-six dump sites in and around the city. Terumo Penpol CMD Sr. C Padmakumar and Kowdiar Councilor Sr. Muraleedharan K felicitated the event and planted trees. Jayachandran V S of Builders India delivered the vote of Thanks.
• December 28: Terumo Penpol has been selected as a partner for collaborating with Japan India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM), an initiative jointly ventured by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Japan and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, India. The Japanese Ambassador to India, His Excellency Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu ,was invited as the chief guest for the inauguration of the event held on 11 December,2018 at the Blood Bag factory of Terumo Penpol in Puliyarakonam,Trivandrum.In his inaugural address. the Japanese Ambassador congratulated Terumo Penpol on being a part of JIM.He mentioned how the concept of JIM was the outcome of the discussions between Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Abe. He also spoke about the interest of the Japanese government to support the Indian healthcare sector by actively getting involved in the Ayushman Bharat initiative of the Indian government to provide high quality,affordable healthcare to the common people. Specific areas of cooperation include training of doctors, nurses and other caregivers. He gave due credit to the people working in the company including the shopfloor workers for making Terumo Penpol a success story. Through JIM, the aim is to train 30,000 young people in India in Japanese manufacturing and shopfloor practices by the year 2026.Mr.Hisashi Kanda,General Manager,AOTS,explained about the JIM program and its goals and methodology.

  • 11 November: Mr. Koji Nakao, Chairman of Terumo Corporation, Japan formally inaugurated the 30 Million Blood bags Capacity Production Lines at TERUMO PENPOL. With this expansion Terumo Penpol is now one of the biggest Blood bag Manufacturing facilities in terms of capacity.
  • 1 October: The National Blood Donation Day was organized in a unique way by Terumo Penpol Ltd. (TPL) at Trivandrum Club with a variety of events. Apoorva Bose, Film actress, was the Chief Guest.
  • As part of National Blood Donation Day Terumo Penpol organizes a ‘Buddy for Life’ contest for school students to get children to motivate their parents and teachers to donate blood before September 21 2014 in any government blood bank in the city. Terumo Penpol offers information on how to organize a blood donation drive and provides free promotional materials.
  • September 2014-As part of our parent company TERUMO Corporation’s global initiative we have observed Patient’s Day on September 17 2014 . The main objective of Patients Day is to sensitise our Associates about the impact of life saving products made by TPL through opportunities to interact with patients.

As part of World AIDS Day Observance TERUMO PENPOL Pvt Limited in association with TECHNOPARK and TEJUS an NGO Based at Techno park is organizing a special Voluntary Blood Donation contest for General Public and Techno park Associates The aim of the contest is to create awareness and quest of knowledge about blood donation. The criteria are that participants should score at least 40 marks to qualify for the award and certificate of merit. A participant can only submit one answer sheet and over writing is not allowed.
